Our process

Here’s what our standard UPS installation process looks like, from end to end. Bear in mind, however, that we devise a bespoke approach for every client. We don’t do cookie-cutter processes or plug-and-play solutions. At best, they waste money – at worst, they risk failing when you need them most.

FAQs

Our Future-Proof Protection subscription service is the first of its kind – so we understand that you may have questions.

Why get a UPS subscription? Why not buy a UPS outright?
When you buy a UPS system outright there’s a large capital expenditure outlay. Our subscription service doesn’t demand any capital expenditure, as your new UPS system can be acquired through operational expenditure.

Purchasing a UPS system outright means you’re responsible for its ongoing service and maintenance. Most service contracts are for 12 months, and easily forgotten when it comes to renewal time – leaving you without cover, and at risk. In addition, standard service contracts do not generally cover replacement batteries or capacitors.

With a paid-monthly subscription from Carter Sullivan, we take full responsibility for keeping your UPS serviced and maintained. Our subscriptions are fully comprehensive: we cover all repairs, including batteries and capacitors, so you stay completely worry-free.

You never have to remember to renew service contracts, and when the time comes, we’ll replace your UPS with a newer model. So as long as your subscription is running, you’ll never experience any unexpected costs relating to your UPS.
Is the monthly fee fixed?
Your monthly subscription fee is completely fixed for the length of your subscription, and not subject to price inflation.
What contract lengths are available?
There’s a minimum subscription term of 24 to 36 months – the length is up to you. After that period, the subscription keeps renewing monthly – or, if you wish to end it, we can remove the UPS.

You also have the option to purchase the equipment outright, and end your subscription at any time.
What happens to the UPS at the end of my subscription?
If you opt to discontinue your subscription at the end of your contracted period, we will decommission and remove the UPS system for you.
What happens if there’s an issue with my UPS system?
Scheduled and preventative maintenance is included with your subscription, so your UPS is always in peak condition. And there’s no charge for parts – even batteries.
How are subscription costs calculated?
You initially pay for delivery, electrical installation and your first month’s subscription. The remaining costs – for the maintenance of your UPS, and for the UPS itself – are then paid via a monthly direct debit.

The monthly subscription charge is dependent on the size and model of your UPS. Contact us to get personalised costings.
