Spreadex required the replacement of a faulty UPS system with minimal disruption to their data centre. Access into the installation room was difficult and there was limited space available. There was also a large amount of electrical work to complete within a small window.
The week before delivery, we prepared the site without powering down. The UPS was positioned in the plant room, cabling terminated, and DC cables readied. During a weekend midnight shutdown, we swapped the batteries, connected new input cables, commissioned the UPS, and restored power—all in under four hours instead of the planned eight. The old UPS was removed the next day.
